Shelter Wine Company is the brainchild of David Stevens and a New York City wine broker. Made by Robert Foley, the 27/29 was co-fermented from two vineyards in the Howell Mountain sub-appellation of the Napa Valley (thus its name), one on a mountain and the other on the valley floor. The distinctive terroir of these locations gives the wine a nicely layered character.
Those seeking “Cult” Napa Cabernet without the price tag will be duly rewarded. Collectable and impossible to find – but we still have “some”.
